Yet Ray White Damerell Group (RWDG) rose to the top, coming away with a clutch of top awards, including two top-ten rankings – fifth for Gross Commission Income and eighth for Customer Experience – plus it had more individual salespeople ranked in the top 20 than any other office internationally.
RWDG’s Gower Buchanan attended the conference, and was absolutely delighted with the recognition his team was given over the weekend. “The critical aspect for us is that these awards are testament to the strength of our overall team, and to the fact that our sales team are really starting to utilise the robust platform that we are providing for them.”
Buchanan goes on to explain that this platform is focussed on two key areas: Safety and Performance.
Safety is based around RWDG’s full-time, in-house legal counsel and compliance manager, Elizabeth Rabier. “In this changing environment, in areas such as the new Anti Money Laundering legislation that is soon to come into effect, it is essential that our sales team are given the confidence that they have the backing of a fully qualified legal counsel should they need it.""That allows them to concentrate on what they do best, and that’s to sell property,” he adds.
The performance aspect of RWDG’s business platform is based around its dedicated, proactive marketing team working with new technologies to provide more immediate and personalised response to buyers and sellers. “We have a cutting-edge website, provide daily and weekly updates though social media, a regular, professionally produced blog, a monthly market report, and of course the extremely popular Quarterly Magazine that’s delivered to the letterboxes of thousands of homeowners in our catchment,” says Buchanan.
Buchanan is convinced that introducing these measures has improved the culture within the team and also given them a safer environment to work in – and that’s helped his frontline team to perform to a higher level in a more competitive market place.
“That’s why we’re winning these awards and we’re winning on the ground,” he says, referring to the 15 per cent increase in local market share RWDG has seen in the past 12 months.
The two individual sales people from the RWDG office who really shone over the weekend were Robyn Ellson and Angela Saunders – both top-twenty salespeople across of the whole of Australasia. “Angela, in particular, has increased her business five fold in the past five years,” says Buchanan. “This is not only testament to her superb work ethic, but also reflection of the steady support platform Ray White Damerell Group has provided that’s allowed her to perform at this level… and it has also allowed her to take more time off than ever before,” he adds, referring to the fact that this platform, along with the excellent admin support team, on average, saves each member of his sales team about 30 days a year – which is a significant and compelling statistic for anyone looking to join RWDG’s growing team of salespeople, says Buchanan.
